NEED A CHILD OR A BOOSTER SEAT?

Your Child’s Safety is the #1 priority when renting a car in Montreal.

By choosing the right child seat, you ensure the safest travel possible. We do rent them, but please note that it is our policy not to install all seats due to liability issues. Most of our employees don’t have children and do not know the proper installation procedures. So kindly inform yourself from the official instructions available at the Government of Canada site or visit your nearest Police Station or Canadian Tire for help.

A child seat is required by law for all children within a certain weight/height category, who occupy a any rental vehicle. Globe offers child seats and booster seats. To find if you need a child seat or a booster, please see Quebec’s regulation & requirement for Montreal. Both have up to date information. We do not offer infant carry-on seat (normally for 1 year old or less), as most parents have one to carry their newborn in.

Travel light: Why bother with carrying heavy seats through a metro or airports? Globe is equipped & ready! Avoid airline baggage charges and damage while travelling.

Child seat – face forward: Globe’s facing-forward child seats feature improved side impact protection due to padded side contours. They are able to recline without disturbing your child. Booster seat: Booster seats are designed for older children giving lift to the child so the car seat belt can be used correctly and comfortably. This booster seat fully secures your child with an adult seat belt that is naturally positioned over their shoulder and pelvis at the rear of the vehicle
